We are currently working on The Witcher: Monster Slayer – a mobile AR technology – based RPG set in the world of The Witcher.

TASKS:

  • co-creating the game’s network infrastructure and monitoring its condition
  • identifying issues that may appear in the live version of the project
  • developing and performing functional and load tests
  • co-creating technical documentation for the project
  • being responsible for code structure

REQUIREMENTS:

  • good knowledge of Java 8+
  • minimum one year of experience in a similar position
  • basic knowledge of TCP/IP
  • good command of English

NICE TO HAVE:

  • knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. Go, Python)
  • interest in the mobile games industry
  • knowledge of UNITY engine

REQUIREMENTS:

  • experience working in a similar position (manual tests)
  • very good knowledge of techniques, methods and tools for testing software
  • experience in reporting software and/or game bugs
  • knowledge of Unity engine
  • interest in topics related to software and/or game production processes
  • openness to new challenges, willingness to improve and acquire new skills
  • good command of English

  • 1 year of experience in a similar position working on a commercial desktop or mobile project
  • Experience with mobile shaders
  • Knowledge of Unity and/or Unreal engine 
  • Basic knowledge of C#, Cg/HLSL
  • Knowledge of Maya, After Effect andPhotoshop
  • Excellent artistic and technical skills
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving skills
  • Very good command of English (B2 level minimum).

  • Developing the existing gameplay and creating new gameplay elements
  • Developing the existing and creating new tools in Unity
  • Code architecture design
  • Debugging and optimizing code
  • Improving the existing code and tools

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of experience in programming games in Unity
  • Ability to create documentation of your code
  • Very good knowledge of C#
  • Experience in creating tools in the Unity engine
  • Knowledge of Dependency Injection rules (Zenject welcome)
  • Experience in designing functionalities based on specifications
  • Knowledge of version control systems (GIT)
  • Experience in creating gameplay (game rules, scripts, physics, etc.)
  • Commitment, respecting deadlines, taking responsibility for your tasks

Desirable:

  • knowledge and interest in the computer games market
  • ability to create tests (TDD)

  • Optimizing rendering for the capabilities of mobile devices
  • Working closely with artists, game designers, programmers and producers on key visuals
  • Co-creating technical documentation related to the project

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position working on a commercial desktop or mobile project
  • Experience with mobile shaders
  • Knowledge of Unity and/or Unreal engine 
  • Good working knowledge of C#, Cg/HLSL
  • Knowledge of Maya, After Effect, Photoshop i Houdini 
  • Shader creation skills (directly in the editor in Cg/HLSL)
  • Excellent artistic and technical skills,
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving skills
  • Very good command of English (B2 level minimum).

We are currently working on The Witcher: Monster Slayer – a mobile AR technology-based RPG set in the world of The Witcher.

As a DevOps Engineer at Spokko you will:

  • Help us build our network infrastructure on GCP (we use the IaC approach with Terraform)
  • Develop the game’s network infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform – the game will need servers in further regions of the world, along with new functionalities. New infrastructure solutions may be needed and the DevOps Engineer will help design and implement them on GCP
  • Maintain the current infrastructure on GCP (currently, the game uses GKE, Datastore, EventHub and BigQuery; as the number of players increases, maintenance work on these will be necessary)
  • Create and develop the game’s condition monitoring
  • Create and develop CI/CD (currently, we mainly use the pipeline mechanism on Bitbucket, and the entire infrastructure is built using Terraform)

Tasks:

  • Co-creating the game’s network infrastructure and, at a later stage of the project, taking on the responsibility for monitoring its condition
  • Identifying and preventing issues that may come up in the live versions of the project
  • Developing and performing functional and load tests
  • Co-creating technical documentation of the project

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with Google Cloud Platform, in particular GKE, Datastore, EventHub and BigQuery
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform – minimum one year of experience working in a similar position
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Working knowledge of Linux
  • Very good command of English (B2 level minimum)
